Is Stardoll Making Us...Gasp...FAT?

I noticed this when the LE "Couture Poppy Dress" came out. The original Chanel version is beautiful (I cannot find a picture to post at this time) but the Stardoll version...is interesting. By "interesting," I mean fattening. Take a look at these pictures.

The mannequin thing I used for the picture is the exact scale size to a traditional doll size. And it widens the hips, making the doll look..portly.

Another example would be the All Over Stud Sculpted dress, sold at the Viole Holiday Boutique over the 2009 winter holidays. I don't know if this was the look chosen for this dress.

Hot Spot

As Many Clubs As You Want?

Okay, this just in.

It IS possible to have as many clubs a you want, through this easy cheat.

However, it only works with Google Chrome. If you aren't on Chrome...sorry. Chrome's the way to go.

SO. To start, join any club you want. Could be an Edward Fan Club or whatever. Or you can join my club...

Then, after you've joined, go back to the Clubs Startpage and the only club you will be a member of is the club you just joined.

Now, click Create A Club. And create a club.

And there you are.

I'm going to go start a club for this blog.

It's a Look

As I was exploring Stardoll, I dropped into user misnally's suite to see the strangest thing...she has no eyes...

At first, I wasn't sure whether this is a flaw of Stardoll or a purposeful look. But when I loaded her MeDoll editor, everything was fine. Then, when I went back to her page, she was sporting two eyes. I assume this was a flaw of Stardoll....

Outfit FAIL

Well, not everyone can have flawless style. Every so often, I will pick out an outfit that is TRULY horrendous and feature it. Here's today's.

I am not featuring the user's name, and she will not receive a feature notification. I have blurred her face to protect her identity.

She is wearing one of her own designs, it appears just to be a large brown bag with some orange designs in random patterns.

Lovely.

Want to be featured? Probably not. So stay cute!

Nice Face

Sometimes, when I see someone with the most creative hair and makeup, I just HAVE to feature them.

This girl's name is Brumilicious, and I loved her look. So Lady Gaga circa The Fame album cover inspired and pitch-perfect.

Fakes vs. The Real Stuff

Well, there's LE fakes and Antidote fakes. And quite a few DKNY fakes made in the Stardesign. Some of these designs are pretty nice, while others look bad.

For example, here are two fakes made by DolphinGiggles.They're a DKNY Scuba dress and the DKNY Skyscraper Print dress.

And here are the real ones, for comparison.

What do you think? Real enough? Personally, I will be the one shelling out the money for the real ones.

Hot Spot

I'm starting a new feature called Hot Spot-whenever I see someone who looks particularly cute, I'm going to feature them on the blog. And our first Hot Spot is 876540276478302, whose outfit I spotted Thursday and I love it. Here's the outfit, in glorious Technicolor...

Free Harajuku Lovers

I don't know about you guys, but I LOVE Harajuku Lovers. So when I saw in spoilers some Harajuku Lovers, I was overjoyed.
They're for people in the UK. If you live in the UK, here you are.

But if you're no in the UK, you'll have use a manual proxy. They're not too hard, just slow.

Here's what you're going to do.

1. Log out of Stardoll completely-this includes all tabs, windows, etc. And make sure to log out, not just close the tab.

2. Clear browsing history. I actually don't know the point of this step, but I always do it. If you're on Firefox or Chrome, press Cntrl Shift Delete, and then delete it all. I never delete my saved passwords, you can go ahead and skip that.

3. On Chrome...go to the little tool sign on your right, next to the New Window. Then go to OPTIONS. Go to the Under the Hood tab at the top and then click "Change Proxy Settings" at the bottom of that. When there, go to "LAN Settings." Under the heading "proxy settings" check the box to make the proxy box typable. Then enter in proxyIP:62.105.163.43 Port:80.

4. Go to this link. http://www.stardoll.com/en/clubs/home.php?id=1819560

5. Log in.

6. If it says "Club not available," that's what happened to me. So close the tab and repeat step 3. But instead, uncheck the box in the last part of the step and press OK.

7. Go to your suite. You should still have the stuff PLUS a Facebook iPhone. That's for people who log in in the UK.

Notes:

Proxies are SLOW! IF YOU GET PAGE NOT AVAILABLE, REFRESH. If you get Page Not Available more than four times, the proxy isn't working. Give up.

These instructions are for Google Chrome only. If you're FF3 or IE7, go find it on Underneath Stardoll.

Stylein....Whaaat?

If you've been by the StarPlaza lately, you may have seen the new shop...Stylein or something. Personally, I think it's rather dull. It's all black and gray-lovely. And like most RBs, most of it is SS, with the exception of the shoes and leggings. Thanks SO much, Stardoll!

New Archive

Well, the new Archive is jam-packed. It sports a gothic/punk theme, featuring heavily Fallen Angel type stuff. I sort of like some of it, I think my favorite piece is the red and black lace shirt. Adorable!

Yet another Limited Edition dress to get non-Superstars to become SS. It is only sent to non-Superstars that was once superstars and have brought L.E. I for one really love the dress, but upset that I cant have it. this time i must say Lucky to all you non-Superstars..

Who We Are

Like the new banner? It's not fancy, I don't have Photoshop, in fact, I just put it together on Paint.

Anyway, I figured readers (currently we have 0...) might want to know a bit about their bloggers.

My Stardoll is RemeberWhatever, although my real-life name is Kristen, as you could tell in the banner. Anyway, I'm a bit of a nerd, and I've been on Stardoll for about 4 years now, bouncing through different accounts and even a short stint as Superstar. (Account stolen, end of story.) I love fashion-I invest pretty much all of my SDs into it. I'm also an aspiring writer. (See: this blog and my Starblog.)
